I could see myself working for one of the many enivironmental groups in the Grand Traverse area in the future. This summer I interned with the Watershed Center Grand Traverse Bay, and I really enjoyed it. One of the things I had the opportunity to work on was a survey of phragmites, an invasive species, along the Old Mission Peninsula; this was so much fun and I would enjoy doing this more. Another interest of mine is international relations, so maybe working with environmental policy at an international level. It would be fun to advocate for the protection of ecosystems such as the Great Lakes and create policies that achieve this on the international level.
