I heard about the iExploreTC.com and CommunityTies.us/Traverse websites from Jillian.
 
I think the website is awesome! I like the idea of the iExploreTC.com site... a site not just for tourists, but with resources for people who live in Traverse City. I would like to see more information on local events (smaller events, not just the big festivals that everyone knows about).
